I remember seeing the same kind of photos in the early 70′s when they were truly shocking because the studio system was just becomming totally done. I saw Doris Day (number one star just a couple of years earily), Shirly Jones So darned pretty- Partridge Family and Juliet Prowse. The only one who even looked human was Juliet Prowse. It may not happen today but the studio system could turn Frankensteins’ bride into a beauty if she could do something they wanted. I saw that some big stars faces had literally been invented by make-up artists.
