Back in the year 2000 Mark Hogancamp was beaten up by five men outside a bar. This incident caused him serious brain damage; amnesia was the result after waking up from a nine day coma. After waking up Mark starts building a 1 to 6 scale Belgian WWII town in his yard as a matter of therapy. He populates it with dolls representing himself, his friends and his attackers.
